Elegant Castle Hill Wedding for Natalie & Cason

Working in the same town as my college alma mater allows me to see plenty of familiar faces amongst wedding crowds; however, it is hard to beat shooting a wedding for an old sorority sister of mine. Natalie was the most stunning, gracious bride. It was such a joy watching her and Cason finally make their union official. Spending the day laughing and catching up with so many Delta Gamma sisters was just an added bonus! I hope that you all love this preview from the most perfect wedding day at Castle Hill in Oxford, Mississippi.

“Growing up I loved watching TV shows like Say Yes To The Dress and Four Weddings. My little sister (who was my maid of honor) and I would watch them for hours and loved sharing ideas and dreams for our wedding including going to Kleinfeld’s to find our dream dresses!” – Natalie

“Cason and I met at Ole Miss while we were in school a week before summer break my sophomore year in 2016. We immediately hit it off, talked all night, and exchanged numbers to continue to talk over summer break.” – Natalie

“Cason and I talked all summer long while he was at his internship in Chicago. Once classes started again in the Fall and we were back in Oxford we went to tailgates and date parties together, and started dating shortly after! We continued to date for over five years until our engagement in April 2021.” – Natalie

“Cason proposed in front of the Courthouse on The Square in Oxford, MS, the city where we met! Cason serves on the board for his fraternity and told me we were going to a board dinner at McEwens that night. This was actually a decoy to get us dressed up in Oxford for Cason to propose. He even created a fake invitation and everything to really throw me off! On our way to dinner, Cason proposed and when we showed up at McEwens there was no board dinner, but both of our families who traveled in to surprise me and celebrate our engagement! Our families spent all weekend in Oxford and we had a great time shopping and eating at all of our favorite places.” – Natalie

“Getting married in the city where we met was so special to us! Not only is Oxford where we met, but it is also where we met so many of our amazing, lifelong friends and a place we all cherish as our own. We also had so many family members and friends travel to Oxford for the first time from all over the country which truly meant the world to us! We were so excited they were able to see and experience this special little college town that we love so much!” – Natalie

“I really wanted my wedding to match the vibe of our venue, Castle Hill– timeless, classic, and elegant but with a modern twist! I wanted to incorporate elegant and timeless features like mixed metals, white florals with greenery, and a champagne tower that would stand the test of time since we will cherish these photos for many years to come.” – Natalie

“Honestly booking Mackenzie with Taylor Squared Photography was one of the best wedding decisions I made! She was so fun and knowledgeable and made the day run so smoothly and stress-free. Also, everyone at Castle Hill including the owner, wedding coordinator, and staff was amazing throughout the planning process and coordinating the big day! All of our vendors were incredible and I am so happy I booked each and every one of them!” – Natalie

“I have always dreamt of having a June wedding but was worried about what the weather could be like in Mississippi in June. I booked the first weekend in June in hopes to beat the summer heat. To my surprise, we had the most beautiful weather with mild temperatures and low humidity. Plus, the night ended with a gorgeous sunset to finish it off! I truly could not have asked for a more perfect day!” – Natalie

“We used the same cake knife that my parents used at their wedding to cut our wedding cake! We wanted to keep with the elegant and classic theme for our wedding so we stuck with traditional wedding traditions like first dances, cake cutting, and bouquet toss to end the night.” – Natalie

“The best advice that I received as a bride was to not overthink your decisions! There are so many decisions that have to be made during the wedding planning process. Do your research, trust your gut, make a decision, and move on. You can go crazy overthinking every little detail, but everything will turn out amazing in the end as long as you get to marry your best friend!” – Natalie

“My advice to future brides would be to soak up every second of this whole experience with your family, friends, and fiance! The engagement and wedding weekend goes by so fast, but as cliche, as it sounds it truly was the best day of our lives!” – Natalie
