I have always viewed myself as an artist. As a child, I demanded new boxes of Crayolas and more 110 film for my Minnie Mouse camera. During chemistry class I wrote short stories for fun.
In 2003, I graduated from the University of Mississippi (Hotty Toddy!) with a bachelor's degree in Magazine Journalism, but in order to pay my bills, I returned to the legal career I had begun at 16. I longed for a creative outlet, and when I had the opportunity to open a photography business with a dear friend in 2008, I jumped in head-first.
After five years of co-owning Memphis and North Mississippi based, Sweet Water Images, I decided to launch Taylor Square in 2012 in order to focus on North Mississippi and spend more time with my ever-growing family.
Currently the tally at my home is 3 kids under the age of 8. 4 dogs, 3 cats, a few chickens and did I mention I have a full time job? Some people say I am crazy, but
really I just like to work hard and chase my dreams.
There is nothing more thrilling than sharing my talent to capture the emotion of life, love and family. I strive to make friends with all my clients and I cherish the opportunity to witness some of the most intimate events in each of their lives.
If you had asked me as a child what my dream job would be, I would have said "work for National Geographic". Now, I say... I'm doing it.
